OUR HISTORY
Bronx Bethany Church of the Nazarene, has a rich history spanning over six decades. Established in 1964, the church has been a cornerstone of faith and community in Bronx, New York.
Founded by a group of visionary individuals who sought to bring the message of hope and salvation to the Bronx community, they Initially met in homes. In 1959, Matthew and Myrtle Manchand and other Jamaican immigrants started prayer meetings in their home. Under the leadership of Rev. V. Seymour Cole, who joined in 1962, the group grew and eventually became affiliated with the Church of the Nazarene in 1964.
